We are proud to announce that the team of Noosphere designed the case study which was given to the contestants at the annual European BEST Engineering Competition 2013. And, we continued to stay involved by presenting and judging the case study portion of the competition.
The participants were challenged with a practical case based on real-world problems experienced by some of our e-commerce partners. All 8 teams performed better than expected and the solutions proposed were very insightful and promising as each of them had great business potential. But there can only be one victor and our lucky winner was team “XY”, which developed the most all-encompassing business strategy.
This student competition was a great opportunity for us to bring studying students and working professionals together to tackle contemporary business problems. As a result of the success this completion produced we have decided to develop this collaboration even further. One of the students from the winning team, Alex Ovchinnikov, was invited to discuss his competition winning idea with the management and staff of a company we collaborate with Price.ua. Despite being very young Alex, a first-year law student, developed a very insightful business strategy with his friends and teammates.
Iryna Mediana, COO of Price.ua, Aport.ru and Sravni.com shared her impressions of the visit: “It was interesting and a rather instructive to hear Alex’s different view. Like many of the other students, he has a lot of very creative ideas and we are considering their implementation.”
