CSU on Internet Crime Prevention Conference

Ciber Safety Unit at conference

Cyber Safety Unit, a recently launched initiative of Noosphere in the sphere of social responsibility, took part in International Conference “Internet Crime Prevention” that was held in Donetsk, Ukraine, on the 12-13 June, 2013. Delegates from over 10 countries (including Germany, Great Britain, USA, Poland, Czech Republic) as well as representatives of MIA of Ukraine and Hanns Seidel Fund participated in the Conference.

Over two days the participants discussed a number of questions relating to cybercrime counteraction measures. The key topics were: Cybercrime as international problem – German and Ukrainian Law in cybercrime field; Investigation of cybercrimes; Procedural principles and problems of criminal prosecution for cybercrimes in Germany and Ukraine; international collaboration in the area of cybercrime prevention.

Vladimir Golubev, a Director of Cybercrime Prevention Department of Cyber Safety Unit (CSU) as well as Vitaliy Makhno, Chief of Legal Company Kodex Chesti, attended the Conference.

Vladimir Golubev made a Speech “Internet criminality as new thread to economic security: international aspect”. This speech equally deals with diverse cybercrimes as well as the ways of their prevention including the aspect of international collaboration during investigation of transnational crimes. Moreover Vladimir told about principal directions of Cyber Safety Unit activities. This Company successfully collaborates both with similar projects in other countries and law-enforcement authorities.
