Great minds from all over the world are overcoming real-life challenges to overcome Earth’s gravity. In recent years, the number of space explorers and businesses has risen from a trickle to a flood and shows no sign of slowing down.
On the 12th, April, the whole world celebrates International Day of Human Space Flight. On this day, humankind first dared to venture outside Earth’s atmosphere. On April 12, 1961, Yuriy Gagarin made the first orbital flight around Earth in the spaceship “Vostok”. The flight, which lasted 108 minutes, became a powerful breakthrough in space exploration. It was a scientific triumph and a milestone for all humanity, and especially for those working in the space industry.
The 2013 FAI European Championship for Model Rocketry Seniors and Juniors by appointment of the Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI) took place from August 24th to August 30th in Kaspichan, Bulgaria. This is the sixteenth competition at the European level and was attended by 17 countries including the United States, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine.
This years international world cup event in Amateur Rocketry, held in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine 28-31 July, 2013, has just wrapped up leaving participants, fans and organizers with a host of unforgettable memories. The excitement, competition and fun enjoyed by everyone involved set a new bar for amateur rocketry enthusiasts around the world.
The FAI’s (The International Air Sports Federation) XVII M. K. Yangel Cup in amateur rocketry took place in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine on July 29th and 30th, 2013. The Yangel Cup is a huge international competition held in accordance with the traditions established in the 1990s.
