22 Nov 2019

On Friday, November 22, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration (Ukraine) Oleksandr Bondarenko visited Firefly Ukraine in Dnipro. The delegation observed Firefly’s innovative technology for manufacturing high-strength rocket parts using 3D printers and labs. Company officials say advanced 3D technology can significantly reduce cost and manufacturing time of rocket parts.

Oleksandr Bondarenko noted that Dnipro city and the space industry are inseparable concepts in the world’s view. “Noosphere is our strategic partner in organizing the Dnipro Economy Forum-2020. We believe that many interesting presentations and promising space projects will await us at the forum.” – added Mr. Bondarenko.

Firefly Ukraine is the only private space company in Ukraine working to make the country a key player in the space market. The company was founded by Ukrainian Max Polyakov and is a member of NGO “Association Noosphere”.

“Not only does FireFly create jobs for the region, it contributes to the development of its technology base. As a member of the Noosphere, the company supports the vision of its founder, Max Polyakov, to develop an engineering ecosystem. For example, the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, Oles Honchar Dnipro National University and Firefly, have collectively launched a space science and technology study center. The cooperation is structured as follows: Universities launch training programs in the fields of “aviation and space technology” and “materials science”. Noosphere and Firefly host students for training and production internships. We also address recruitment. ” – said Michael Ryabokon, Noosphere Co-founder.

During the meeting, the parties agreed to present the advanced futuristic Firefly 3D technology at DEF-2020 IT & Space – Dnipro Economic Forum, organized by Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration in collaboration with Noosphere.
