Association Noosphere is increasing the number of sporting events in 2020. Last weekend we kicked off the 2020 sports season with the Noosphere Bowling IT Cup.
Professional and amateur bowlers from Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia gathered at the Panorama bowling club in Dnipro on February 22. Firefly Aerospace, Together Networks, Amconsoft, Privat Bank, Skyrora were all represented by participants. Some players surprised us with their preparation for the competition. Some arrived with their own bowling balls while others had their own bowling gloves.
After a quick registration, the players divided among 12 bowling lanes and started tossing balls. Each participant bowled 5 games. Some of the bowlers really shone, bowling strike after strike, leading them to the finals and the victory. In addition to the exciting games, our bowlers also had a chance to participate in various little fun contests and receive Noospherean gifts from the host of the event.
The tournament was judged by Yuriy Lembitovich Peterson, chairman of the Dnipro Regional Federation of Sports Bowling. 12 bowlers reached the finals to contend for the title of the best bowler. They each had only 1 game to prove who was best. Three players received the highest scores and were named winners.
Sergey Vasilenko of PrivatBank, Dnipro, beat out all the others with a score of 1145. He took 1st place and the Noosphere Bowling IT Cup. The 2nd place went to Vitaliy Divakov of Together Networks, Dnipro, who scored 854 points. The 3rd place went to Artem Petrovsky of Together Networks, Zaporizhzhia, with a score of 841. All the winners were awarded medals and powerbanks from Noosphere.
Noosphere is grateful to everyone who joined its first sporting event of 2020 and made this tournament so exciting. We hope to gather even more bowling fans at the tournament next year.
