Robotic tour of VEX constructors

VEX Marathon

Association Noosphere completed the first stage of the VEX Marathon project. Young roboticists and their mentors from cities across Ukraine got acquainted with the American VEX constructor system.

From June to September, the American VEX Go and VEX 123 constructors traveled around Ukraine, making stops in Dnipro, Poltava, Kyiv, Odesa, and Lviv. Robotics experts who teamed up with Noosphere introduced teachers and their students to the constructors with workshops and practical classes. Children and adults had the opportunity to become part of the global VEX Robotics community of 1.1 million roboticists from around the world.

A total of 563 children and 35 teachers from across the country joined the marathon. We received a lot of positive feedback, and participants were excited to take part again in the future.

Educational robotics allows children to expand their STEM education far beyond their textbooks. With VEX constructors, they can create robots, program them to perform practical tasks, and even compete with other young learners.

Association Noosphere works hard to popularize STEM in Ukraine. The VEX Marathon is another opportunity to share robotics expertise and experience with educators and their students. After the marathon, participants took part in a webinar to share their impressions of working with the VEX platform and provide suggestions to people just starting out with the system.
