Max Polyakov unites Knowledge, Education and Business Leaders at the first international practical science conference “Science and Business”

Noosphere held Science and Business Forum

From June 29 to July 3, 2015 three leading educational centers, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Chernivtsi hosted the First International practical science Forum “Science and Business”. The Forum is an integral part of five practical science conferences “Science and Business”, held by Noosphere.

An innovative economy is built on the effective cooperation between educational, research and business institutions. The free transfer of innovative, hi-tech ideas can fuel society and take it to the next level of the progress. The International practical science Forum “Science and Business” is designed to become one of the leading instruments in establishing efficient communication between Noosphere and the education community.

The Forum welcomed 164 participants from 6 countries allowing them to start a direct dialog between representatives from business, education and science communities.

The schedule at the Forum was divided into three parts:

The first part was held in O. Honchar Dnipropetrovsk National University (Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine). The opening ceremony was filled with anticipation for informative presentations and discussions. Noosphere Co-Founder, Max Polyakov and President of O. Honchar Dnipropetrovsk National University, Professor Mykola V. Polyakov gave a welcome speech, where they stressed the importance of the Forum.

The first general meeting started with a presentation from the prominent Ukrainian lecturer and scientist Igor G. Khanin. Dr. Khanin once focused on collaboration between universities and business as well as stressed that to evolve innovation is only possible when the every party works together toward a common goal.

The keynote speaker at the Forum was Boris Stilman, Professor of Computer Science Colorado University (Denver, USA). Professor Stilman gave a presentation titled “Linguistic geometry: ultimate defense to protect the world”, where he talked about gamification of training for army officers. Professor Stilman has been developing a system for more than 15 years, which after several rounds of experimentation, is now used in smartphones.

The general meeting included 13 presentations made not only by science representatives but also practical experts, who have already implement the ideas in their business strategies. The Forum’s participants attended lectures on economics, philosophy, computer science as well as case studies about Branto, Presentain and YOUDROP.

The second part of the Forum was held at the National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” and Kyiv Mohyla Business School (Kyiv, Ukraine).

During this session, participants attended lectures from Kyiv Mohyla Business School professors: Mychailo Wynnyckyj, Ph.D in the field of economic sociology (University of Cambridge) and Volodymyr Pavelko, director of MBA program in Kyiv Mohyla Business School. Participants had an opportunity to express own opinions on the issues as well as to discuss hot problems with the lectures.

The third part of The Forum was held in Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, which is one of the oldest Ukrainian Universities. The general meeting was opened with a welcome speech from the university’s president. Later, participants attended lectures from Professor Stilman and other scientists in the field of mathematics and computer science.
